14++

wow. sooooo THE CABRERAS got MARRIED. just the wedding of the year with all of the most important people in zapata. AHHHH i cant believe they actually did it. they looked sooo happy and everyone there was taking the credit for gettiing them married haha. but camilo told us that they really owe it all to us and the Lord. it is so rewarding to be a missionary and to be allowed to take part in peoples lives as they change and grow and understand who they are and who they can become!! since OCTOBER i have seen this family at their worst and now at their best. they are learning so much, and after seeing the blessings that come from obeying the commandments, they are willing to do whatever it takes to be obedient and live together forever.

INCREDIBLE seriously. AND THEN they had their interviews last night, all 4 passed and are super prepared!! i mean they already pay their tithing and offer to feed us and everything, they have been to church more than 10 times and they offer to do whatever they can to support anyone. they have changed immensely and are so christ-like and continue to be examples for everyone.

ALSO juan carlos!! hes studying in the university here, lives alone his family is from far away, but we found him and hes looking for truth. he wants to learn all that he can so he can preach like us someday and make a difference in the world. and he will be baptized on saturday!! the other day we taught him about keping the sabbath day holy and he was like wow i had no idea we needed to sanctify Sunday and do Gods will instead of our own. and he asked us forgiveness cuz he still had a lot of homework to finish on sunday and he said we didnt tell him with enough time so he could finsih it and obey the commandment haha poor thing (cuz we taught him saturday night) but he said i promise the next sunday ill do exactly what you told me. super willing!! and he recieved a priesthood blessing cuz hes a bit sick and stressed but hes strong and he says he can feel himself closer to God and now he doesnt feel lonely. YAY!!!! but still so much to do!!!

i love you all and i will see you very soon!! just trying to do my best to make the difference that i can while i still have time!! help the missionaries and help each other!!

love,
hermana zimmerman

14+

More busy than i thought could happen. theres a companionship that im in charge of that are just south of zapata and the farthest sister missionaries from the offices and they are the first sisters in Tenosique! so great! and they say that everyone is so ready to get to work to help find the people that are prepared to hear the gospel. what can we do to get people here in zapata equally as excited?? well invite them with us!! also, ive come to realize that sometimes people dont share what they know to be true because they are afraid they might not know how to explain things perfectly. but hey... ask the missionaries! they can help you! and do your best and even more!

also, write me letters! hand written! so i can read them whenever i want!

sorry not much else to report. OH yea theres a new senior couple in our mission and they sent them to zapata!! thank goodness!! an answer to all our prayers. they are almost purely working on reactivation what a blessing. now theres 10 missionaries in our branch...spoiled.

also, its cold here!! just a little bit longer and we get the heat back!

14 Months

today is transfer day, and they STILL arent transferring me. and you know why??

cuz the cabrera family accepted a baptism date!!! all 4 are super stoked and making their wedding plans and everything!!!! but they have to go to the state and all this drama, pray for them!!

so there are missionaries that have come to zapata after me and theyre all leaving before me!! so i have 6 months here, with this transfer it'll be 7 and a half. wow. and i only have 3 transfers left!!! crazy!

also, i received a call from the mission presidents wife today to give me a calling as the new sister training leader. basically im in charge of the girls of the zone cuz the zone leaders arent supposed to call them all. but i have to travel to villa with the zone leaders to go to the council with the president and all zone leaders in the whole mission then we come back and teach the missionaries here all that happened. and its a major responsibility and im a bit scared haha cuz im going to have to report all numbers to the assistants and evaluate all the missionaries and i do not in any way feel capable but it just means that ive gotta step things up. AHHH.

ALSO hermana cabrera, my 1st hija, is going to be TRAINING a newbie!!! shes barely got 4 months in her mission!!! so awesome. i always told her itd happen but i didnt think so fast!!

so all is well. lots to do. as always. be strong. make good decisions. remember who you are and what you stand for. and always help out the missionaries!!!!!!! like daily!!!!!!!

looove, hermana zimmerman

also i lost my voice the DAY we went to a huge service activity with our zone to a major hospital to sing to all the patients. GREAT. and we had to perform with our district in our xmas dinner with the president, and i had a part, and i sounded like a horse. a hoarse horse. haaa good one hermana z.. LATER!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! SET GOALS AND KEEP THEM!!
